Mellon Park, was previously Mellon Estate, was offered to the city of Pittsburgh to be turned into a public park in 1942. The Mellon Park Walled Garden, with its blooming flowers and manicured hedges, transports you back into the guided age. The Garden was part of the original Mellon Estate and served as their “backyard.”
